What data we collect
StraightToYourAI collects the following data when you use the extension:
- URLs and titles of pages you choose to save
- Content extracts (YouTube transcripts, web page text) from pages you save
- Anonymous identifier stored in a cookie to link your collections across sessions
What we don't collect
- No personal information (name, email, etc.)
- No browsing history (we only see pages you explicitly save)
- No invasive analytics (see Anonymous usage analytics below)
- No data shared with third parties
How data is stored
Your data is stored on servers hosted by Supabase (PostgreSQL database). Your anonymous identifier is stored in an HTTP-only cookie that cannot be accessed by JavaScript.
Third-party services
We use the following third-party services:
- Jina Reader (r.jina.ai) - to extract content from web pages you save
- YouTube - to extract video transcripts from videos you save
These services receive the URL of pages you choose to save. No other data is shared.
Anonymous usage analytics
To understand how the extension is used and make it better, we collect minimal, anonymous usage events via PostHog. Here's exactly what that means:
We track simple button clicks — for example, which AI provider you open (Claude, ChatGPT…), which export method you use (copy, download), and when the extension is activated. That's it.
What is never tracked, under any circumstances:
- The content of what you save (transcripts, articles, text)
- URLs or page titles of the pages you visit or save
- Video titles or any information about what you watch
- Any personal information whatsoever
Your anonymous identifier is used solely to count unique users — we have no way to link it back to you as a person. Think of it as a tally counter: we see "someone opened in Claude", not "who" or "what page".
Data deletion
You can delete your collections at any time from the My Collections page. To completely reset your account, use the Disconnect feature.
